Why Communism Can’t Work

There’s a lot of speculation happening that some people are trying to implement a form of communism in the United States right now. The people who have this idea have a core fear. The core fear is that, somehow, people could steal their personal resources, health or wealth, for what others believe is the “common good.” However, there are a myriad of reasons why it can never work.

Defining Communism

Wikipedia’s Definition

For the sake of common ground, I’ll start with sharing definitions of communism. Wikipedia defines it like this: “Communism (from Latin communis, ‘common, universal’) is a philosophical, social, political, and economic ideology and movement whose goal is the establishment of a communist society, namely a socioeconomic order structured upon the ideas of common ownership of the means of production and the absence of social classes, money, and the state.”

My Definition

I would define it as a society and economic structure where people have things in common and so they don’t really “own” anything personally. It’s very easy to see how that would work economically. The early Christians pooled all their money and resources together and whatever someone needed, they could use it. Hippie communes are another example of how this can work.

Examples of Social Communism

Herd Immunity

How would it work socially? Imagine immunity as money. The goal would be to have immunity in common, i.e. to get to herd immunity. There are some people who have a lot of natural immunity and those who have very little immunity (the immuno-compromised of society).

Some people’s immunity is hampered by their lifestyles, and others by their heredity; the same could be said about the poor, right? Rich people grow children with abundance mindsets (making it easier to make money) and poor people grow children with poverty mindsets (making it more difficult to make money). But some people choose willingly to spend/risk a lot of money and others save. Some people choose to eat unhealthily and get obese which lowers immunity.

So, social communism, would be seen as getting herd immunity in order to protect those with lower immunity. There are ways to get to herd immunity without people getting vaccinated, but for the sake of a recent example, we’re seeing a push to get a very large proportion of the world vaccinated. The “sacrifice” that people make of their time and health (side effects) when getting vaccinated reflects everyone putting in money to pay for those who have less. I think the example works pretty well.

Education

Another way this works socially is in education. Imagine intelligence as money. Some have more, and some have less. In order to help the less intelligent children get through schools, there is a push to get rid of the honor courses or grades all together which will make the children who are intelligent not work as hard, get bored, and “even out” intelligence so there’s a little less difference in smarts.

This also happens with colleges don’t accept people who based on merit any longer, but decide admissions based on skin color (which is systemic racism) and, perhaps now, other identities, like gender identity. In order to seem more inclusive, they exclude actual intelligent people.

How Communism Works

Communism can work locally if a group of people decide to willingly do it. A marriage is a combining of a couple of people (and even more for polygamists) and they are usually combing their property and money. Does it work well? In some cases it works perfectly. As I mentioned the early Christians did it, and also there are and were communes. When people have a common purpose and goal, they can willfully choose to share their resources.

When people think of communism they’re usually not thinking about the smaller groups, and, instead, they’re thinking about larger groups such as whole countries or territories. The difference is night and day because in one case it’s done locally, willingly, and lovingly, and in the other it’s done through force because there is always someone who does not want to take part in it.

Taking From the Rich To Give to the Poor

Communism, in theory, takes from the rich and gives to the poor. It takes money from the rich, health from the healthy, education from the intelligent, good jobs from the qualified, in order to give money to the poor, herd immunity to the sick, education to the less intelligent, jobs to the unqualified.

Drama Triangle Dynamics

All of the supporters of helping the poor will have a myriad of reasons popping into their head why it’s the good, moral, thing to do to help those who are not getting jobs, who are sick, who are poor and need food and housing. They will say anyone against helping those less fortunate are evil. They are okay with stealing from others because of the evil they project onto the perceived “persecutors.”

The drama triangle dynamics will have these social justice warriors taking the place of savior/warrior and putting a multitude of people in the victim role. And, of course, they’ll place anyone against giving up health, wealth, education, and jobs for the victims as the persecutors.

This is, of course, extremely condescending to the people they’ve labeled as “victims.” Do you really want to get a good job or into college because of your skin color? Don’t you want to be judged based on merit? Isn’t it condescending to have the admissions office think you need help to get in? Most people do want to be judged by merit and find this condescending, unless they like playing victim.

savior - persecutor - victim
The drama triangle consists of a perceived victim, persecutor and someone who feels they can save the “victim” from the “persecutor”. People break free when they understand personal responsibility.

You don’t have to be a part of the drama triangle. You can be free from it. You can see the people without money as capable of getting a job, making money, taking care of their health themselves, and finding a place to stay.

No Need To Take From Rich

Also, you do not have to take from the rich in order to help the poor. For example, in a household where there are 2 parents and 3 children, and one parent is obese, but no one else is. Everyone else might have great immunity and if they got COVID-19 they would likely handle it quite well. However the obese parent might have complications since obesity is a co-morbidity. There is no need to have the children be vaccinated in this example and face possible side effects. The rich in immunity don’t have to give up anything and be compromised. The obese parent could take personal responsibility and start to diet and exercise, thus lowering the chance of problems to their personal health.

Teach a Man to Fish

This is basically a reminder of the proverb, “give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

When you can exit the drama triangle and see people as capable of learning how to take personal responsibility, you can focus on what will actually help them. In this example, communism tries to give fish to people, but never teaches them how to fish. This is because it is built on the idea that a communistic government would be the “savior” to the people who don’t have enough money (the victims).

When people believe that communism will be good for a nation, they’re doing so because they are entrenched in the drama triangle. People not entrenched in the drama triangle would clearly see other ways to solve the issues that plague society and it boils down to people taking personal responsibility.

For the immunity example above, you can “teach a man to fish” by explaining what causes problems with COVID-19 and explain what can improve your chances of not going to the hospital over it, such as taking Vitamin D and Zinc. The obese parent could exercise, diet, and take these supplements to improve his or her chances in the case of getting sick. But it takes personal responsibility to actually go through with the instructions.

Why Communism Doesn’t Work

The Drama Triangle Dynamics

As I’ve mentioned communism is usually tried when people are seeing the world through the lens of the drama triangle. If someone feels like a savior, they will find “victims” even when “victims” don’t actually exist. These people can get a savior complex, and they will find problems everywhere they look. It never ends and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Those who have a victim mentality are getting something emotionally from feeling like a victim and they don’t want to give that up. Even without ill-intentions, a person could be depressed, get labeled depressed by a psychologist, and start to identify with the label. When people identify as a victim, if they have a chance to get better, they would have to deal with the identity crisis that would come about eventually. People sometimes get into social groups with people who identify as victim-label of some sort and they won’t fit in if they get better. Rather than lose their social groups, they’ll take actions that keep them a “victim” of their disease/diagnosis. Imagine being depressed, in a group with a bunch of depressed people, and forming friendships and then getting better. The people around you can’t relate to you anymore. You would have to move on and make new friends. It’s difficult.

Breaking Out of The Drama Triangle is Difficult

The drama triangle is very difficult to break free from until you take personal responsibility for your life and realize others could do the same. A government built on being the savior will never want to let go of this position and the people who feel like they need to be saved can start to identify with being a “victim” and it’s difficult to break from that mindset.

Law of Attraction Dynamics

Mindset Matters

There is such a thing as an abundance mindset and a poverty mindset. How you think affects how you perceive the world and interact with it. People who feel like they can always make more money will take more risks than people who feel it’s difficult to make money. People who feel sick and worry about diseases will have a lot more stress than those who don’t. Stress weakens the immune system, and so they can actually get sick more often than people not worried about getting sick.

People who feel confident will be more likely to be viewed as qualified and get jobs easier than people who feel like an imposter. Woman may be more likely to feel like a fraud because of a lack of confidence, which can cause them to not make as much as men. Rather than paying women more just because they’re women which would be sexist, teaching confidence-building techniques could be more beneficial.

Freedom

Freedom is eternal. We always have the freedom to choose how and what to think. There will always be confident people who feel abundant. You can clearly see how this worked in 2020 when businesses started to lay people off but people started working for themselves. As people couldn’t make money in one avenue, they started to make it in others, selling masks online for example. Even if they didn’t create masks, people made new designs for them. If you had a poverty mindset you might have gotten depressed, but people with abundant mindsets set out to make new products.

People always have a choice with what to do with the life circumstances around them. If you don’t like the content you see on TV or in books or comics, you can start to make your own or support the few you do like. If you don’t want to get vaccinated, don’t work at a place that would require it. You can even start your own business. If you don’t like restrictions in your home town or state, you can move to a new location.

People who feel healthy will make healthy decisions and not be stressed so their immune systems will be better capable of handling illnesses. You can learn more about the law of attraction perspective on illness and healing in my article The Body (And The World) Was Designed To Heal Itself.

Unless stuck in a victim mentality, people will always figure out a way to be free from tyranny.

Vibrational Resources

The most important reason why Communism won’t work is because people have built up a vibrational “vortex” of stuff that they desire. Esther Hicks calls it the vortex if you want to search more on that. I believe the bible refers to it in a few places, and believe the vortex is synonymous with heavenly treasures.

Mark 10:29-30 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the gospel will fail to receive a hundredfold in the present age— houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and fields, along with persecutions— and to receive eternal life in the age to come.

If you look to the book of Job, you’ll see that he loses a lot, but he gains back more. And in Matthew 6:19-21 Jesus says “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

People can steal from you. But since you already own what you own in the vibrational sense, God will make sure you get it back. Because of their abundant mindset, a wealthy person being taxed a lot will still make that wealth back.

You can’t steal people’s mindsets, which means you can’t stop abundant people from being abundant by stealing from them. You can’t stop a person from getting a job and making money even if you get them fired. They can just start their own business. Gab’s already showing us how people are making their own parallel economic society right now. The owner has had his financial systems shut down from him, but he made it work with cryptocurrency.

The reason communism doesn’t work is because this world is built on vibrational freedom and we reap what we sow. If you sow seeds of victim-hood, you will continue to reap victim-hood. If you sow seeds of abundance you will reap abundance. It may not be instantaneous, just like how you have to wait for seeds to grow. Everything has a time and season. But this is why communism hasn’t worked and won’t ever work.

Additional Information

Communism, like Critical Theory, is built on complaining. Critical Theories are called critical because they critique society. Communistic Governments will constantly be looking for ways to be the savior to stay in power. They will critique the world looking for problems to solve, and perhaps they’ll make some new problems along the way.

What you focus on you create more of. When you focus on critiquing everything, pretty soon all you see are problems. You can get so laser-focused on problems that you can’t see solutions anymore. When you complain it’s coming from a place of negative emotions, such as fear for perceived victims. You can’t figure out solutions from a state of fear because your mind closes them down.

When you relax and have faith that things will work out, solutions start to come to you because your mind has opened up. People inside of the drama triangle won’t be able to figure things out, but people outside of the drama triangle will be able to come up with solutions.

This is why “Communism Doesn’t Know How,” and why the people who are personally responsible for themselves will always “win” in the end. The people relaxing outside of the drama triangle will always have solutions come to them.
